What’s facelift?
A facelift is a surgical procedure that includes the removal of wrinkles on the face by surgery. This treatment is usually aesthetic in nature and recommended to individuals pursuing a more youthful look. This procedure:
Throughout a facelift, the skin flap is pulled on each side of the face, and the tissues underneath the skin are surgically enhanced to give the contour of the face a younger silhouette. Before the flap is closed, extra skin is removed.
The Scar
A traditional facelift scar often starts in the hairline of the temples poceeds across the ear and finishes in the lower scalp. Fat can be sculpted or reallocated from the face, the jowls and the neck, and the fundamental tissue is repositioned, and the deeper levels of the face and muscles are also raised. Your outcome should not only preserve a much more youthful and restful appearance, but also motivate you to feel more confident about yourself.
Self-care
Self-care at home within
the first three weeks will help you recover and reduce the likelihood of
complications. Follow the directions for wound care as instructed by your
surgeon. Do not select the crusting scabs that will grow on your cut. Follow
the instructions as for when you can start using shampoo and cleaner and what
types you should use. Avoid the use of makeup. Avoid physical or intense
exercise or sport. Be careful about direct application of the sunlight to the
incision for three weeks then use a protection of SPF 30 or higher.
